Mike Dolan, M.B.A.
President

Mike is an accomplished, hands-on statistician, data scientist, analytic programmer, and technologist with a solid record of achievement in nearly all industry verticals.  A career that has  spanned 30 years.  He has designed and delivered dozens of projects that answer complex questions with a clear recognition that the world operates in far more than one or two dimensions at a time.  He holds multiple patents in advanced analytical techniques that bring this realization to life.  He is a superior communicator with skills honed by seven years of graduate and undergraduate teaching experience in numerous quantitative disciplines.  Mike received an M.B.A., magna cum laude, with a concentration in statistics and operations research from Union College.  He was A.B.D. at the same university.  Mike is an avid skier and tennis player who also struggles mightily, some might say futilely, with golf.  When not focused on a client solution, he can often be found at his mountain home in Maine looking for that hidden stash of powder.  mike.dolan@americananaltyic.com

Herb Weisberg, Ph.D.
Chief Scientist

Herb received a B.A. in Mathematics from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in Statistics from Harvard University. He has previously been a founder of three successful companies that provided statistical consulting and predictive modeling services and software. Herb is a nationally known authority on statistical methodology, especially in the areas of biomedical and social science research.  His research in the areas of early childhood education, insurance fraud and causal inference has received wide recognition. He has authored numerous reports and articles on the theory and applications of statistics, and two books. His recent book, Bias and Causation: Models and Judgment for Valid Comparisons, has received the 2010 American Publishers Award for Professional and Scholarly Excellence (PROSE) and the 2011 Ziegler Prize from the Technometrics journal. Herb is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association. 

Eric Gilbert, M.B.A
Chief Strategist

Eric Gilbert combines more than 25 years of experience in strategy consulting and management with a commitment to supporting senior executives across a wide range of industries. A former Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company, Mr. Gilbert is also the founding CEO of several companies, including multiple strategy-consulting businesses, a business-to-business technology firm, and a specialty pharma company.  In his two and a half decades of experience as a management consultant, Mr. Gilbert has helped companies manage their growth, evaluate & enhance organizational design, and complete a range of projects that involve data-driven market research, pricing strategies, competitive intelligence, product development/enhancement/launch and operational improvement initiatives. In recent years, much of his consulting practice has focused on helping clients work through product-market strategy, business model, and go-to-market challenges.  Mr. Gilbert holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University. He has served on the Board of Directors for a VC-backed SaaS business serving healthcare/life science clients. He is an angel investor and an advisor to early stage ventures.
